As part of the levels that compose “Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising”, the sequel game inspired by the television series “Cobra Kai”, Valley Fest level was inspired by scenes from the series of the grand festival where the dojos performed for the Valley.
In this level, I have contributed mostly to direction and guidance while being developed by another level designer (Carlos Escaleira). However, in addition to directing, I have also aided with the balancing of combat areas and the positioning and distribution of resources present in the level (Coins, Collectibles, weapons, among others).
This level was special because, unlike most other levels in Dojo Rising, Valley Fest offers the player non-linear challenges, leaving it up to the player to explore the entire festival, defeating enemies and collecting VIP cards that give you access to the level's boss. In addition, the park's rides offer the player unusual combat environments and situations, such as fighting while you or your enemies can be run over by the roller coaster cars. It is also one of the levels where it is possible to experience the rivalry between the different dojos. During the fight against the miniboss “Aisha”, enemies from the 3 dojos join the fight, and students from other dojos attack each other while students from their dojo join you.
